Basically pizza is a combination of leavened flat bread with sauce, cheese and various toppings and baked in a wood - fired oven. Pizzas are usually round and served unsliced in restaurants and eaten with use of fork and knife but however cutting into wedges and eating with hand is more popular. As pizzas are popular world wide , there are many variations in it's preparation as per choice and place. Pizza toppings can be changed as per choice. Usually pizza dough is prepared using yeast and all purpose flour but here I have prepared pizza dough from wheat flour and without yeast and without oven. So here we go for healthy pizza recipe, with 3 different toppings.
Ingredients and spices that need to be Take to make Pizza:
- For pizza base:
- 1/2 cup wheat flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/8 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 cup curd
- 2 tsp oil
- Salt to taste
- Other ingredients:
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 tbsp pizza seasoning
- 1 tbsp oregano
- 1 tsp chilli flakes
- 1/4 cup grated processed cheese
- 1/4 cup cubed or grated mozzarella cheese
- For toppings:
- 1 tsp boiled corn kernels
- 1 tsp paneer cubes
- 1 tsp finely chopped onion
- 1 tsp finely chopped capsicum
- 1 red chilli,sliced
Steps to make to make Pizza
- For preparing pizza base: add dry ingredients and oil in wheat flour, mix well. Knead soft dough with curd, cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Pre heat the cooker for 15 minutes, by adding salt. Cover it without ring and whistle.
- While cooker is being preheated,knead dough again and divide into 3 parts. Roll them and prick it with fork.
- Place rolled base in a plate and keep the plate in the preheated cooker and cook it on slow flame for 10 minutes. Check, our pizza base will be ready.
- Now heat skillet on a slow flame. Take one base, for Margarita pizza, spread pizza sauce and both cheese in generous quantity. Then add a little oil on a skillet, place prepared pizza, cover and let it cook for 2-4 minutes or till cheese melts properly, then cook for some more time uncovered. Remove from skillet and sprinkle all the seasonings and serve.
- For paneer corn pizza, spread pizza sauce, add paneer cubes, corn and capsicum. Add both cheese. Place some red chilli slices. Cook same as above and serve hot by adding seasoning.
- For Italian pizza, spread pizza sauce, then add onions and capsicums. Top up with both cheese and red chilli slices. Cook same as above. Serve hot by adding seasoning.
- Relish and enjoy your choice of pizza. Can add your choice of toppings. Adjust cheese quantity as per your choice.
